Therapy Fees and Services
Fees
I offer a free 20 minute video introduction to see if your needs and my style are a good fit.
$220 for 50 minute individual sessions.
Couples/relationships are $400 for initial 90 minute intake, subsequent 50 minute sessions are $250.
I see individuals and couples in person at my North Portland office; I see all other Oregon and Washington State clients via Zoom.
It is practice policy that clients give 48 hour notice for rescheduled sessions, or will be billed for a missed session. Clients arriving 10 minutes or later will be considered missing the session and will not be seen, unless other arrangements have been made prior.
I do not accept insurance, but can provide you a with superbill which some insurance companies will reimburse for clinicians out of network "OON". I encourage you to check your benefits and insurance companies policy on this. Please be aware that most insurance companies do not cover couples counseling.
Services
With all new clients, it is my policy practice to meet at least once a week for 8 weeks consecutively. After which time, a conversation between client(s) and therapist to determine frequency and cadence of therapeutic work going forward. With relationship and couples counseling it is especially important that each session be attended in order to make any substantial change and progress.
It is typical with individual clients that we meet weekly for six months to a year, and then move to every other week, depending on client’s needs. Some clients will remain on a weekly schedule if their diagnosis and individual needs deem it necessary.
With relationship and couples work, it is typical to meet more frequently than weekly for the first three to six months, then slowly move to less frequently after a conversation with the clients and therapist.
Good Faith Estimate
If you are uninsured or insured but self-pay, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for services. These estimates may change as the treatment progresses and are not a guarantee of treatment frequency, length or cost. If estimates or services are added or changed, you will receive a new GFE. Your signature does not create a contract or require you to receive psychotherapy services from me.
The information provided in the Good Faith Estimate is only that: an estimate. Actual healthcare items, services, or charges may differ or change throughout the year, even for long-term established clients. For new clients, I may revise your estimate once we have met and discussed more details around your symptoms, likely diagnoses, severity, and treatment plan, which may not be reflected in the Good Faith Estimate you initially receive. However, I will never schedule healthcare services or items without client consent, and clients may request an updated Good Faith Estimate at any time.
You will receive your estimate after we have determined that we will be working together, and will be revised if it appears to be more than $400 off the estimate you have been given.
